Pottery Barn and Sherwin-Williams have again joined forces to release three new colour palettes for S/S 2020. The seasonal palettes have been created to complement the furnishings and décor available in their stores: Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, and Pottery Barn Teen.

The 28 colours that comprise the Pottery Barn palette range "from subtle hues to bold expressions."

Notice the strong influence of greys and neutral shades, which mix with several blue tones. These colours can be offset or blended with a pale pink or a burnt terracotta orange.

Suitable for nurseries, bedrooms, and playrooms alike, there are two kids' colour palettes for S/S 2020. Yes, there are two palettes—one for the U.S. and another for Canada.

The American colour palette is surprisingly more green than the Canadian one. It also has only 21 colours versus the 26 colour collection for Pottery Barn Kids Canada.

From soft pastels to rich, bold hues, each colour combination has been carefully selected to coordinate with a variety of furniture collections and accessories.

Pottery Barn Kids Canada colour palette for S/S 2020. The blues and greys in this palette are deeper and richer. They work well together, but also play nicely with the neutrals and pastels that complete the palette.

We're rather intrigued by the distinctly different palettes. While many shades are similar, only one is an exact match. And while both feature a dark blue, neither is Naval, Sherwin-Williams' 2020 Colour of the Year.

Wall colours shown are Cityscape SW 7067, Alchemy SW 6395, and Halcyon Green SW 6213.

Based on the palette presented, teens currently prefer spaces that are neutral and subdued. Colour may be added through artwork, linens, or accessories.
